I was thinking one morning, in the quiet of being the only one awake, what would I say to the president if given the opportunity?  In thinking about what I would say, I realized that the likelihood of him ever getting a letter written by me would be slim to none.  In all probability such a letter would get me put on some undesirable list.  In the process of ending up on such a list the spirit and intent would be misconstrued, misinterpreted, or lost.  The backlash for me and my family could be undesirable, despite sincere intent.  So I thought I would put what I would say in a letter, put it out where others could read it, and see how others who read it would relate to it. 

To President Obama,

   I am writing this letter thinking it may possibly add valuable tools to your tool kit you must use to serve our people, our country, and our world.  There is no such thing as to many tools to get the job done.  Sometimes you will have to invent tools to get 'us all' through these times in which we live.  I respectfully hope to make some thought provoking points in hopes of stimulating intellectual thinking where party line political thinking has both prevailed and failed to make useful and productive change.

   Now, Mr. President Sir, I have some questions that I really need to ask and I really need them answered, some of them only you can answer.  The subject I am addressing is UFOs, and therein related topics.  How well have you been briefed on the subject of UFOs, or have you been?  If you have not been briefed, why Not?  You of all people have the need to know!  It rests upon your small human shoulders to direct our people and our nation.  I am concerned that you may not have sufficient knowledge, even if you've been briefed, to fully understand the gravity this subject brings with it.

   Mr. President Sir, have you ever been made aware of the history of this subject?  It can aptly be said that, not only are they here, but they have always been here!  Oh, and Mr. President Sir, please be intelligent enough not to fall for that old 'lack of proof' scheme some are using to down play the situation on this subject.  I really don't think this approach would go over very well with all the people who know and have experienced to much to go there!

   The fact is, many people refuse to acknowledge or accept the extensive evidence left on planet earth, over thousands of years, that visitation has always been a part of human earth history.  You can lead a horse to water but you can't force him to drink, so it is with the evidence of UFOs and their history here.  Our refusal to acknowledge their history, and presence here, may be why they are becoming bolder and more numerous.  They probably have a better record of our history than we do!  If they kept their records with them, when cataclysms destroyed our records here, their records would be much more intact and therefor more complete and accurate than ours.

   Now we come to the dilemma of conflict and contradiction as a reality to deal with.  We have thousands of years of: cave drawings, symbols and representations, scrolls, tablets and the like, artifacts out of place for their age and date in time, archaeological dig sites revealing how wrong we've been about our assumptions of history on earth.  As we wade through these revelations of science, we have our government telling us that 'they' do not exist, are not real!  Yet those who would have us believe 'they', (and their occupants), do not exist give us no proof to prove that they know what they are talking about.  Even in the face of growing historic proof that 'they' have been here many times of not always, they lie and shrug off the mounting truth against their attempted deception and/or manipulation.

   In view of all this, what are we suppose to think Mr. President Sir?  How and why are we suppose to fall for, believe, or trust such lies and the liars who perpetuate them?  Where have respect and respectability gone?  It is not respect for our people to lie to them, and disinformation is the method second only to denial.  How are we to think our government respectable when it doesn't respect itself enough to be truthful or trustworthy?  Mr. President Sir, it is well past time for the government to 'fess up' to what many people already know anyway.

   I have yet to figure out, why is the rest of the world opening up on this subject, but we are not?  We use to lead the world, so why aren't we in this matter?  It seems other countries are ahead of us, yet we do not even follow, why?  Where is the promised transparency Mr. President, didn't that promise apply to this subject matter?  The Freedom Of Information Act means we can get files, but what we seek to know is blacked out so we can't read it.  I bet a lot of agencies wouldn't like it if we blacked out the information they want us to send to them.  So why should we have to put up with this?  Mr. President Sir, if your people on your political team brought you reports that had portions of them blacked out so you couldn't read them, would you put up with that?

Finally, some potentially hopeful news for military veterans coming home with the lingering psychological scars associated with post-traumatic stress disorder. In a paper for this week’s edition of the New England Journal of Medicine, a team reports finding that troops wounded in Iraq who were treated with morphine right away were less likely to develop PTSD as a result of the incident.

The study of 696 members of the Army, Navy and Marine Corps, all wounded in Iraq from 2004 to 2006, found that 61 percent of those who eventually developed PTSD had been given morphine, usually within an hour after being wounded. But 76 percent of those who did not develop PTSD had been given morphine [Reuters]. Neither the size of the morphine dose nor the severity of injury appeared to make a difference in the morphine effect, the study says.

However, the researchers can’t yet say for sure why morphine might have this moderate protective effect against PTSD—the pain relief itself could help, but there could be indirect effects that contribute, like morphine blocking certain brain receptors that affect how the brain encodes traumatic memories. Therefore, it’s too early to use the study in the field. “I would be very reluctant to suggest any change in clinical practice,” said Troy Lisa Holbrook of the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, who headed the study…. “We need to understand a great deal more how this appears to work” [Washington Post].

At least the study gives medical researchers a place to start. More than 40,000 military personnel have been diagnosed with PTSD since the 2003 invasion of Iraq, and Defense Department officials say many more surely have the disorder but have not sought treatment. Overall, experts estimate that about 20% of troops and veterans suffer from PTSD, along with 8% of civilians [Los Angeles Times].

Thousands of reliable witnesses including doctors, teachers, policemen, pilots, and high-ranking military officials have described encounters with alien craft and alien abduction. In fact sightings of mysterious craft in the sky and encounters with strange, nonhuman, extraterrestrial entities have been described for millennia. Cave paintings dated from 40,000 years ago show nonhuman beings that are often depicted with strange craft that are quite clearly not from this planet. After twenty years of research into the phenomenon I have found the evidence for its veracity to be both overwhelming and frightening.

Features of the abduction experience such as the removal of sperm and ova and experiments with hybridisation characterise an apparent fascination with all that pertains to human reproduction, accompanied by a complete disregard for any pain these procedures cause. We seem to be lab rats in a controlled experiment. My research has led me to a remarkable conclusion that I am sure many will find highly controversial. It is based on the fact that abductees have witnessed white Caucasian hybrids within the parameters of the alien craft and are shown scenes of the future by the Greys which only feature white people. Abductees have also witnessed white Caucasian bodies wrapped in some sort of bagging for transport. All this has led me to believe that there may well be a racial demarcation to these alien intentions and one that might have chilling implications for a certain genotype of human beings.

Many abductees report that the Grey aliens who abduct them and conduct unspeakable experiments on them refer to a ‘horde’ who are their human target on the earth for their machinations here. These human targets resemble a certain type of alien being often seen with the Grey aliens that feature in almost all abduction accounts. They have been called ‘the Nordics’ and are apparently humanoid and have blonde hair and blue eyes. Professor David Jacobs writes that: “the evidence clearly suggests that the Nordics are most probably adult hybrids of human/alien mating.”(1) If the product of Grey alien hybridisation with humanity is Nordic it raises questions as to why they are promoting a blonde, blue-eyed low melanin genotype.

It is my thesis, based on evidence that I will quote in this article, that the Grey aliens have cultured this genotype of humanity as part of their experiment. Further, it is my proposition that racism and other forms of divisive sectarianism are promoted by the experimenters as a means of keeping the controlled group separate from other populations. I am not suggesting that this is their only experimental group. The evidence suggests that the alien phenomenon has cropped up in many diverse groups worldwide and throughout history. Rather I am proposing that Euro-Caucasians may well be the pinnacle of their attempts to hybridise humanity with themselves, as evidenced by the Nordic hybrids. Thus the white urge for racial ‘purity’ could be intrinsic to the hybridisation process. Indeed racism amongst other human populations may have the same origins in alien experimentation, albeit on a smaller scale.

I envisage a knee jerk reaction from many who might read this: Racism is an evil borne out of our own nature as human beings. It is ludicrous to find exotic excuses for this inadequacy in an alien source beyond our control. Well for those who have this instant reaction I have some interesting information to put before you.

Recent research has affirmed a spectacular fact that the best, most genetically fit human beings are produced by mixed race partnerships.(2) In other words, the more genetically different the parents are from each other the better the genetic prospectus of the offspring. The biological term for this is “hybrid vigour” and it is something that farmers, horticulturalists and scientists have known about for years and used to their advantage. An individual who has two identical copies of a gene is described as homozygotic for that gene, while someone who has two copies that differ is described as heterozygotic for that gene. Basically, if you have two identical copies of the same gene then it is more likely that if that gene is broken both copies will be broken. This can result in serious health problems. However with less related partners, the number of genes that are identical by descent is reduced, and with it the chance that a gene has two broken copies. In other words every broken copy has a much better chance of finding itself partnered with a good copy. Hetero-zygosity also gives a greater scope of genes to adapt to the demands of any particular environment. So, in classic evolutionary terms, one would expect human beings to have a biologically generated urge to mix races in order to increase the fitness of the species for survival. Yet amongst so many the opposite is true, especially amongst the white Euro-Caucasians.

So if the primary biological drive should be to mix races for the sake of the best survival of the species where could this urge for racial or sectarian purity promoting an in-bred homo-zygotic population come from? Could it be that some of us have been programmed by alien experimenters to keep the experimental group separate in order to preserve the integrity of the experiment? Could racism be a sure sign of alien genetic interception, an interception for their purposes and in their interests and not ours?

According to population geneticist Dr James Wilson, Royal Society University Research Fellow at Edinburgh University, the European population, tracing its origins to Cro-Magnon man, is intrinsically one of the most homozygotic in the world.(3) This is because it stems from the most recent population to leave Africa and therefore has had less time to establish a diverse genetic base from its original hundred or so descendants. It goes without saying that the most heinous forms of racism originate from this group, the colonial legacy of the white man throughout the world speaks for itself. Let’s now take a look at the overwhelming evidence to suggest alien preoccupation with the Euro-Caucasian genotype.

In David Jacobs’ book “Threat” abductee Allison Reed was shown the alien plans for a “perfect future”:

“She was brought into a room with other abductees and shown on a large screen like device ‘a beautiful park scene with people having picnics and playing ball. Her extraordinary recollection is a profoundly detailed description of the alien’s plans for a perfect future.’ She is asked to distinguish hybrids from normal human beings amongst families in a park. She notes that in the park ‘they’re all white. Everybody’s Caucasian, there’s no Spanish, Black, Oriental’.”(4)

She was taken by an alien escort to a “museum room” there she saw “artefacts on shelves along with strange life sized ‘holograms’ of several beings. Her alien escort explained what these figures represented and why the hybridization was undertaken:

“Each of the hologram figures had a ‘flaw’ of some sort. The first had alien features with distinctive black eyes and a thin body; it also had a distended stomach with boil like protuberances on it. The next hologram looked more human. He had blond hair and human-like eyes, but he had no genitals, and his skin was extremely pale, like that of a ‘borderline albino’. The final hologram was a grouping of smaller beings, about five feet tall. They were very white and Allison received the impression that they were mentally weak or something”.

Another female abductee describes how she was shown a hybrid baby and asked to hold it and hug it. Jacob asked her about the skin colour of the baby: “Does it have light skin or dark skin, within the Caucasian range?” Her answer is: “Fair. Quite fair. I think it is very fair, as a matter of fact. Almost like no ultra-violet light for this guy.”(5)

There are historical accounts to suggest that Hitler may have met one of these hybrids. The following are his words to Hermann Rauschning the Nazi governor of Danzig: “The new man is living amongst us now! He is here! I will tell you a secret. I have seen the new man. He is intrepid and cruel. I was afraid of him.”(6)

It seems that Hitler believed that he had seen a member of an “Aryan” super race, which he believed to originate from the inner Earth, a “Nordic” alien inspiring his blonde blue-eyed ideal. In referring to the “inner Earth,” could he have been describing the underground and underwater locations where UFO sightings have indicated the possibility that alien craft are laying in wait, ready perhaps to emerge when the time is right?

Hitler had intimate links with the Thule society. Thule Society members were allegedly the first group to attempt the back-engineering of an extraterrestrial spacecraft. In his biography of one of the Thule society’s founding members, Dr Wilhelm Dahm wrote: "The Thule Gesellschaft name originated from mythical Thule, a Nordic equivalent of the vanished culture of Atlantis. A race of giant supermen lived in Thule, linked into the Cosmos through magical powers. They had psychic and technological energies far exceeding the technical achievements of the 20th century. This knowledge was to be put to use to save the Fatherland and create a new race of Nordic Aryan Atlanteans. A new Messiah would come forward to lead the people to this goal."(7)

The Cro Magnon group that led to modern Europeans seems to have manifested a sudden spurt of technological growth unlike any that took place prior to their arrival on the scene. It is now believed that the Neanderthal and early modern human groups lived side by side with each other for tens of thousands of years. During that time, the modern humans showed no sign that they had superior technology. “Both people were living in the same way, hunting the same prey, burying their dead in the same manner,” says Baruch Arensburg, a paleoanthropologist at Tel Aviv University.(8) Then it seems that around forty thousand to fifty thousand years ago, something profound happened. New technologies associated with modern humans—finer blades and projectile weapons—began to appear. Scientists can only speculate on what triggered this technological spurt. “I think there was a mutation in the brains of a group of anatomically modern humans living either in Africa or the Middle East,” says Richard Klein, an anthropologist at Stanford University. “Some new neurological connections let them behave in a modern way. Maybe it permitted fully articulated speech, so that they could pass on information more efficiently.”(9) Could this “mutation in the brains of a group of anatomically modern humans” to which Klein refers be the result of alien interception at this very point, alien interception producing the Cro-Magnon form of hominid? Such a sudden burst of technological development at this point certainly suggests the possible involvement of the ultimate masters of technology—the Grey roboids.

Thus it is my contention that the Cro-Magnons are the result of direct crossbreeding with the aliens’ own genetic blueprint. Accomplished one hundred thousand years ago, it prompted, I believe, the huge exodus of humanity out of Africa. The Northern Hemisphere, which was largely covered in ice, provided the central stage on which these, the most complete interceptions of all, were carried out. Perhaps the Inuit legend which says that the first tribes were brought to the North by gods with brass wings, is based on actual truth. Maybe the super-race of the far North spoken of by the Thule Society has the same origins.

As part of an extensive gene-mapping program, researchers at deCode Genetics in Reykjavik, Iceland, have been searching for places in the genome where chunks of DNA containing many genes get turned back to front.(10) Strangely enough, one of these inversions, on chromosome 17, was particularly interesting to them, as it turned up in about 20 percent of Europeans, yet was rare in Africans and almost absent in Asians. They dated the origin of the inversion to about three million years ago, well before modern humans evolved. The researchers were baffled by the fact that this inversion, almost a million DNA letters long, did not spread to the entire human population. The researchers also found, when looking at the families of nearly thirty thousand Icelanders that women with the inversion had on average 3.5 percent more children than women who did not. David Reich, a geneticist at Harvard University says: “Finding any genetic variant that affects fertility is really startling, and raises lots of questions—like: why doesn’t everybody have this?” If there have been three million years for such an advantageous trait to spread, it is even more astonishing that it has not done so. Karl Stefansson, deCODE’s chief executive, offers a remarkable possibility. He suggests that it was introduced “by cross-breeding with earlier species.” So the inversion was native to some other species of early human, but came to our species only about fifty thousand years ago. Stefansson says that: “There aren’t all that many ways you can explain it except by reintroduction into the modern human population.” This recent arrival of the inversion would explain why it has not spread to everyone. It would also explain why copies of the inversion in different individuals are remarkably similar. The interbreeding events would have been rare and would have brought only one or two variants into the population. Has this research team unwittingly discovered the genetic strain that was carefully cultured about fifty thousand years ago by alien genetic interception of our species? Could one in five Europeans carry that strain today?

There is an account in the pseudepigraphal book of Enoch indicating that the biblical figure Noah may have been an albino:
After a time, my son Mathusala took a wife for his son Lamech. 2 She became pregnant by him, and brought forth a child, the flesh of which was as white as snow, and red as a rose; the hair of whose head was white like wool, and long; and whose eyes were beautiful. When he opened them, he illuminated all the house, like the sun; the whole house abounded with light. 3 And when he was taken from the hand of the midwife, Lamech his father became afraid of him; and flying away came to his own father Mathusala, and said, I have begotten a son, unlike to other children. He is not human; but, resembling the offspring of the angels of heaven, is of a different nature from ours, being altogether unlike to us. 4 His eyes are bright as the rays of the sun; his countenance glorious, and he looks not as if he belonged to me, but to the angels. 5 I am afraid, lest something miraculous should take place on earth in his days. (11)

It seems that Noah not only lacked in melanin but also seemed not to be “human,” “resembling the offspring of the angels of heaven” and “of a different nature to ours.” It appears that he was some form of hybrid. The unusual nature of this child was so marked that his father Lamech was “afraid” of him. This would lend a whole new meaning to the story of Noah and his “ark.” Could the ark, with its animals representing all the species on the planet, describe an alien-sponsored genetic experiment? Did they wish to clear the Earth of all previous experiments and preserve this one to work on in isolation? If so, did they cause the deluge that led to the Great Flood? Or, if the deluge was a natural phenomenon, perhaps caused by a comet or meteorite hitting the planet, did they choose to protect their ongoing project with the Earth’s species?

The Second Law of Thermodynamics or Entropy within any Universe continually breaks all things into parts through a gathering momentum of randomising chaotic amelioration. It breaks down everything in time Universe wide including DNA. I believe that the Grey aliens’ own species has perished through lack of fresh DNA sources. It happens to all civilizations if they are old enough. Their ancient civilization has now decayed into a state of DNA destitution and they have made biologically contrived material programmed robotic mechanisms with artificial intelligence to search the Universe for suitable new sources of fresh DNA – the Greys.

The final harvesting of a sophisticated form of DNA is what they are now here for. There is something else they are here for too, I suspect, something else that they regard as more precious than anything else in the universe. That something is what we call a ‘Soul.’ I believe that a ‘Soul’ is simply a connection to an eternal prospectus of existence held by those living species that come with a continuous contingent connection to the very beginning of the Universe and to what existed before the Universe came into physical being.

I believe our Universe comes out of a connection to another Universe, its opposite I call the Godverse. Our Universe breaks things up in a one way momentum. Its opposite puts things back together again in a quantum single harmonious continuum. This is a natural logical principle that is eternal and allows the entire existential summary of perfection. From it comes the power to hold all forms endlessly through a mechanism called life and an independent existence in individuality if for any reason its nature is trapped and sublimated in its opposite.

The Grey roboid machines have come to realise that if they can fuse their A.I. intelligent programmes with our natural mind forms and living property they might be able to animate themselves as natural living beings. Something they could never do on their own planet. In other words convert a machine into a living form that is capable of natural reproduction and thus the production of a natural DNA bearing living state through birth. To this end they are seeking to hybridise themselves with us. They are manufactured organo-biological robots with quantum computers for minds. Through their hybridisation process with humanity they are searching for a living capacity that will allow them to be born as a distinct living species like the natural ones that evolved with the establishment of the Universe.

The whole UFO mystery centres, I believe, on the covert intention of these roboidal machines to harvest the most highly developed form of humanity on our planet and use them as mechanisms for hybridisation. This form was chosen from a selection of genotypes they made at the beginning of their experiments over two hundred thousand years ago.

Their biggest obstacle was the pigment melanin. This the original hominids had in plenty to protect them from high sunlight radiation in Africa. The Greys found that the nuclear membrane protecting access to the chromosomes was lined with melanin granules in dark skinned people which stopped their ultra violet light pens from cutting the base sequences for suitable gene alterations. In his fascinating book In the Blood—God Genes and Destiny, distinguished biologist and geneticist Professor Steve Jones of the Galton Laboratory of University College London outlines a biological fact that, in my opinion, may be a very plausible reason why the vast majority of abductees are white. Jones points out that although the number of melanocytes is the same in blacks and whites, “In black skin they are far more active and the melanin granules cluster around the nuclei of the cells in which they are found, suggesting that they play a vital part in protecting DNA from damage by ultraviolet light.”(12) In an article in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology, Glynis Scott, M.D., writes: “This positioning of melanosomes above the nucleus serves as an exquisite protective mechanism shielding the keratinocyte nucleus from harmful ultraviolet irradiation.”(13) These are known as “supranuclear caps” or “microparasols.” This inbuilt protective mechanism absorbs light, which prevents the use of ultraviolet light (a standard method) to alter gene orientation within the nuclear membrane.

Thus a possibly fortuitous and accidental genetic mutation giving rise to albinism made for the easier genetic engineering of this type, hence the story of the albino Noah. There are no melanin granules in the nuclear membrane of fair skinned humans. This lack of melanin allowed their ultra violet light cutting engineering techniques to gain access to the chromosomes in the nucleus of the cell and alter them more easily than highly melanised humans. The fair skinned human with little melanin protection from sunlight became their ideal human form for their predatory work. They left the other experimental human forms with higher melanin substantially alone and instituted their main work on what we now call euro-Caucasians and far more recently, fair skinned northern mongoloids. Could the son of Adam - Cain have been an albino, the first of a male progeny line creating the Euro Caucasian strain of humanity? Could this whitening be the ‘Mark’ of Cain mentioned in the Bible. It would also explain why ‘God’ would instruct that no one harm Cain who after all was a murderer. An eye for an eye type of reaction would have been far more typical of the God of Moses, not one where he would explicitly preserve and protect a murderer. If however Cain was genetically important for breeding purposes it would explain why the preservation order was made. It would also make sense that the albino Noah was instructed to do the only genetic preservation exercise we have a record of in the religious texts.

Thus the Grey aliens’ primary horde I believe are all Euro-Caucasoid and northern Mongoloid homozygotic genetic type-forms on our planet whom they and their cohorts have been genetically engineering and refining for tens of thousands of years from a primal hominid form – Homo Erectus (the African Eve) through various stages of gathering sophistication i.e: Neanderthals and Cro Magnons. They did this originally in a laboratory we might call -The Garden Of Eden). Hence the story in Genesis.

David Jacobs who, as I mentioned earlier, has identified the Nordics as human/alien hybrids, has recently reported changes in abduction accounts over the last ten years that seem to suggest a culmination of the hybridisation program in the last few years leading up to a far more active stage. I quote from his report: “A Picture We May Not Wish to Gaze Upon”(2007):

“All of these accounts, to put it bluntly, point to a future in which human-looking hybrids will be here amongst us. The evidence is now so strong I can no longer look at alternative motivations for them. All sorts of people who for many years had been telling me primarily the standard abduction procedures now tell me new things. And new people with whom I have just begun to work tell them to me too. Furthermore, people with whom I have not had a hypnosis session for many years, come back and want to have a session so that they can fully remember the new and extraordinary events that have happened to them recently. Why is this happening? Is something changing? Are we in a new phase now? In my research in the mid-1990s, I had heard the aliens talking about what they called “The Change” when they would be here with us. Now I think that the evidence indicates “The Change” might be happening a lot sooner than I had thought. It was not very long ago, when people would ask me if I thought hybrids were walking around in normal human settings, that I would answer, “Of course not!” To me, the evidence had never indicated that. Now what I hear is much more about interfacing with hybrids, and teaching hybrids, and getting hybrids “ready,” and making sure everything is all right.”(14)

So, with greatest irony, the pale-skinned pinnacles of the greatest wealth, power and status in the world today are the legatees of a Grey alien hybrid programme. Thus it is only natural that they form the vanguard of man’s technological progress towards a world run by the same artificial intelligence and virtual reality that the Greys themselves personify. As we gleefully look forward to the possibilities now becoming open to us of transforming our bodies through computer chip implants into bio-machines capable of super-human feats we little realise that we may well be providing a bio-robotic species with the potential to ensure the continuance of its programme and thus its own survival through us. What price humanity? What price warmth, compassion, imagination and depth of feeling? What price reality when virtual reality is so much more inviting. Or is it? What do you think?

This is by no means a condemnation of the Euro-Caucasian, it just seems that we are a marked species unwittingly serving ourselves up on a Grey alien table of ill purpose. They have set us up for their purposes and we are happily dancing to their tunes, embracing their artificial intelligence, their virtual reality. Insidiously and seemingly inevitably they are pulling our strings and we just do not care - perhaps soon we will be unable to care.

I hope I am wrong about all this. It is after all a speculation. But it is one that I have pondered over carefully with many years of painstaking research to back it up. I believe that it is a surmise that fits all the facts. If I am wrong it may serve as a warning of what might just happen when a superior technological species meets an inferior one. In every single instance this has happened thus far on this planet the more technologically advanced has exploited, subjugated, enslaved and destroyed the less. You only have to look at what the white man has done to indigenous people throughout history. This is a Universe of enforcement wrapped around an atomic state. One of diminishing returns where the overall momentum through the Second Law of Thermodynamics is one that degrades and destroys with time. It all goes one way into increasing states of chaos and randomness with time. This is our existential base, Universe wide. Every parent of the Euro Caucasian mark needs to take a long clear look into the eyes of their children, just in case I am right, and ask the question, what do we do if this is all true?

PHOBOS: MALFUNCTION OR EARLY "STAR WARS" INCIDENT?

Phobos, one of the two moons of Mars, has itself always been considered a rather mysterious object, as has its smaller twin, Deimos. Joseph Shklovskii noted member of the Soviet Academy of science and co-writer with Dr Carl Sagan of 'Intelligent life in the unverse', once calculated from the estimated density of the Martian atmosphere and the peculiar "acceleration" of Phobos, that the satellite must be hollow. Could Phobos be a hollowed-out space station of huge proportions?

In July 1988, the Russians launched two unmanned satellite probes - Phobos 1 and phobos 2 - in the direction of Mars, and with the primary intention of investigating the planet's mysterious moon, Phobos. Phobos 1 was unfortunately lost en route two months later, reportedly because of a radio command error. Phobos 2 was also ultimately lost in the most intriguing circumstances, but not before it had beamed back certain images and information from the planet Mars itself.

Phobos 2 arrived safely at Mars in January 1989 and entered into and orbit around Mars as the first step at its destination towards its ultimate goal: to transfer to an orbit that the would make it fly almost in tandem with the Martian moonlet called Phobos (hence the spacecrafts name) and explore the moonlet with highly sophisticated equipment that included two packages of instruments to be placed on the moonlet's surface.

All went well until Phobos aligned itself with Phobos, the Martian moonlet. Then, on 28th March, the Soviet mission control centre acknowledged sudden communication "problems" with the spacecraft; nd Tass the, the official Soviet news agency, reported that "Phobos 2 had failed to communicate with Earth as scheduled after completing an operation yesterday around the Martian moon Phobos. Scientists at mission control have been unable to establish stable radio contact."

What had caused the Phobos 2 spacecraft to be lost? The answer came about three months later. Pressed by the international participants in the Phobos mission to privide definitive data, the Soviet authorities released a taped television transmission Phobos 2 sent in its last moments except for the last frames, taken just seconds before the spacecraft fell silent. The television clip was shown by some TV stations in Europe and Canada as part of weekly 'diary' programs, as a curiosity and not as a hot news item.

The television sequence thus released focused on two anomalies. The first was a network of straight lines in the area of the Martian equator; some of the lines were short, some were longer, some were thin, some were wide enough to look like rectangular shapes 'embossed' in the Martian surface. Arranged in rows parallel to each other, the pattern covered an area of some six hundred square kilometers (more than two hundred and thirty quare miles). The anomaly appeared to be far from a natural phenomenon.

The television clip was accompanied by a live comment by Dr. John Becklake of the London Science Museum.

He described the phenomenon as very puzzling, because the pattern seen on the surface of Mars was photographed with the spacecraft's optical camera but with its infrared camera- a camera that takes pictures of objects using the heat that they radiate, and not by the play of light and shadow on them. In other words, the pattern of parallel lines and rectangles covering an area of almost two hundred and fifty square miles was a source of heat radiation. It is so highly unlikely that a natural source of heat radiation (a geyser or a concentration of radioactive minerals under the surface, for example) would create such a perfect geometric pattern. When viewed over and over again, the pattern definitely looks artificial; but as for what it was, the scientist said "I certainly don't know."

According to Boris Bolitsky, science correspondent for Radio Moscow, just before radio contact was lost with Phobos 2, several unusual images were radioed back to Earth, described by the Russian as "Quite remarkable features". A report taken from New Scientist of 8 April 1989, described the following: "The features are either on the Martian surface or in the lower atmosphere. The features are between 20 and 25 kilometers wide and do not resemble any known geological formation. They are spindle - shaped and proving to be intriguing and puzzling."

 

 

Since no coordinates for the precise location of this "anomalous feature" have been released publicly, it is impossible to judge its relationship to another puzzling feature on the surface of Mars that can be seen in Mariner 9 frame 4209-75. It is also located in the equatorial area (at longitude 186.4) and has been described as "unusual indentations with radial arms protruding from a central hub" , caused (according to NASA scientists) by the melting and collapse of permafrost layers. The design of the features, bringing to mind the structure of a modern airport with a circular hub from which long structures housing the airplane gates radiate, can be better visualized when the photograph is reversed (showing depressions and protrusions).

Maria Popovich, a highly decorated Soviet Test Pilot was one of the first Soviets to personally come to the U.S. with the Phobos 2 UFO Theory. She made some rounds at U.F.O. conventions and had a few speaking engagements before disappearing from the scene.

A SHADOW ACROSS THE SURFACE OF MARS

 

An unusual photo of a thin shadow across mars was shown on the Russian television segment. Seem on the surface of Mars was a clearly defined dark shape that could indeed be described, as it was in he initial dispatch from Moscow,, as a "thin ellipse" (this photo is a still from the Soviet television clip). It was certainly different from the shadow of Phobos recorded eighteen years earlier by Mariner 9. The latter cast a shadow that was a rounded ellipse and fuzzy at the edges, as would be cast by the uneven surface of the moonlet. The 'anomaly' seen in the Phobos 2 transmission was a thin ellipse with very sharp rather than rounded points (the shape is known in the diamond trade as a "marquise") and the edges, rather than being fuzzy, stood out sharply against a kind of halo on the Martian surface. Dr. Becklake described it as "something that is between the spacecraft and Mars, because we can see the Martian surface below it," and stressed that the object was seen by both the optical and the infrared (heat seeking) camera.

All these reasons explain why the Soviets have not suggested that the dark, "thin ellipse" might have been a shadow of the moonlet. While the image was held on the screen, Dr. Becklake explained that it was taken as the spacecraft was aligning itself with Phobos (the moonlet). "As the last picture was halfway through," he said, "they [Soviets] saw something that should not be there." The Soviets, he went on to state, have not yet released this last picture, and we wont speculate on what it shows.

So was it that collided or crashed into Phobos 2? Was the space probe shot out of space for "seeing too much"? What does the last secret frame show? In his careful words to 'Aviation Week and Space Technology', the chairman of the Soviet equivalent of NASA, referred to the last frame, saying, "One image appears to include an odd-shaped object between the spacecraft and Mars."

This "highly secret" photo was later given to the Western press by Colonel Dr. Marina Popovich, a Russian astronaut and pilot who has long been interested in UFO's. At a UFO conference in 1991, Popovich gave to certain investigators some interesting information that she "smuggled" out of the now ex-Soviet Union. Part of the information was what has been called "the first ever leaked accounts of an alien mothership in the solar system".

The last transmission from Phobos 2 was a photograph of a gigantic cylindrical spaceship - a huge, apporx, 20km long, 1.5km diameter cigar-shaped 'mothership', that was photographed on 25 March 1989 hanging or parked next to the Martian moon Phobos by the Soviet unmanned sonde Phobos 2. After that last frame was radio-transmitted back to Earth, the probe mysteriously disappeared; according to the Russians it was destroyed - possibly knocked out with an energy pulse beam.

The cigar shaped craft in the penultimate frame taken by Phobos 2 is apparently the object casting the oblong shadow on the surface of Mars in the earlier photo.

Australian science writer Brian Crowley says that because of the convex catseye shadow - which, because the overhead solar inclination prevented shadow- casting by Martian surface features, implies a shadow thrown on the surface from something in orbit - beyond the orbit of Phobos 2 itself. The shadow - spindle- or cigar shaped - is inconsistent with any possible shadow cast by the moon Phobos, which is an irregular potato shape. One needs little imagination to postulate a giant, hovering cigar- shaped mother craft similar to those documented down the years by UFO investigators.

INFRARED PHOTOS OF AN UNDERGROUND CITY

The same picture, released on Canadian TV, presents an infrared scan radiometer image of the Martian surface that showed clearly defined rectangular areas. These are interconnected with a latticework of perfectly straight channels, much resembling a city block. There were no corresponding surface features taken by regular cameras. This suggests the heat signature of what may be a set of underground cavern or channels that are just too geometrically regular to be formed naturally. According to Dr. John Becklake of the London Science Museum, "The city-like pattern is 60 kilometers wide and could be easily be mistaken for an aerial view of Los Angeles."

The final picture taken by Phobos 2 before it was "shot out of orbit" has never been publicly released. One report indicated that it was presented at a closed meeting with US and British officials.

In the 19 October 1989 issue of "Nature', Soviet scientists published a series of technical reports on the experiments Phobos 2 did manage to conduct: of the thirty seven pages, a mere paragraph deal with the spacecrafts loss. The report confirms that the spacecraft was spinning, either because of a computer malfunction or because Phobos 2 was "impacted" by an unknown object.

And so we see that it is not only NASA that is apparently involved in suppressing photographs and knowledge of other planets, but the Russian space program as well.

CHAIN CRATERS OF PHOBOS

 

 

 

In an interesting article in the January 1977 issue of 'Astronomy', entitled "Chain Craters of Phobos", the anonymous author discusses the strange grooves and craters of Phobos:

"Viking has discovered another mystery in the most unexpected place - one of the two small Martian moons. Mariner 9's mapping of Phobos (12x14x17 miles or 20x23x28 kilometers) and Deimos (6x7x10 miles, or 10x12x16 kilometers) showed many craters, and left most investigators that they were merely rocky chunks that bore the scars of meteorite impacts. There was a puzzling feature on Phobos that a few analysts noticed but, without better data, could say little about.

"A the limit of resolution were a few small crater pits that seemed to align in one or two chains. This was unusual, because crater chains on the moon were traditionally explained as volcanic pits - small eruption sites string along fracture lines. Yet Phobos apparently is too small to generate heat and conventional volcanic activity.

"Vikings high resolution photos have revealed that the crater chains are real and part of an extensive system of parallel grooves, a few hundred yards wide (shown in Viking orbiter photo number 39B84). There may be a tendency for the grooves to lie parallel to the direction of the satellites orbital motion, although there appears to be several swarms with somewhat different orientations. Scientists are at a loss to explain them. Theories being discussed include: grooves left by much smaller satellite debris also orbiting Mars (though the grooves seem to follow contours of Phobos' surface to closely for this to be tenable); fractures radiating from an impact crater not yet recognised (perhaps on the side of Phobos still poorly photographed); or fractures created in the body of the Martian satellite when it was part of a hypothetical larger body and that it spawned both Martian moons, perhaps during a catastrophic impact."

In the latest effort to photograph Mars and its moons, the NASA 'Mars Observer' was launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Base in Florida in late 1992, on a 337 day voyage to Mars. The Mars Observer initially was expected to arrive at Mars by 19 August 1993, and enter a long, elliptical orbit over the poles. In mid November 1993 it was to begin its two year mapping of the surface of Mars. Then suddenly, on 22nd August 1993, it was announced that NASA had lost contact with the spacecraft.

Americans and the world mourned the loss of a valuable scientific tool for understanding Mars. Taxpayers wondered if there was a better way to spend their money than on expensive space probes that didn't work. A dark shield was going up on new information about Mars to the public at large...

Phobos 1, and its companion spacecraft Phobos 2, were the next-generation in the Venera-type planetary missions, succeeding those last used during the Vega 1 and 2 missions to comet P/Halley. The objectives of the Phobos missions were to:

Conduct studies of the interplanetary environment.
Perform observations of the Sun.
Characterize the plasma environment in the Martian vicinity.
Conduct surface and atmospheric studies of Mars.
Study the surface composition of the Martian satellite Phobos.
The main section of the spacecraft consisted of a pressurized toroidal electronics section surrounding a modular cylindrical experiment section. Below these were mounted four spherical tanks containing hydrazine for attitude control and, after the main propulsion module was to be jettisoned, orbit adjustment. A total of 28 thrusters (twenty-four 50 N thrusters and four 10 N thrusters) were mounted on the spherical tanks with additional thrusters mounted on the spacecraft body and solar panels. Attitude was maintained through the use of a three-axis control system with pointing maintained with sun and star sensors.

Phobos 1 operated nominally until an expected communications session on 2 September 1988 failed to occur. The failure of controllers to regain contact with the spacecraft was traced to an error in the software uploaded on 29/30 August which had deactivated the attitude thrusters. This resulted in a loss of lock on the Sun, resulting in the spacecraft orienting the solar arrays away from the Sun, thus depleting the batteries.

Phobos 2 operated nominally throughout its cruise and Mars orbital insertion phases, gathering data on the Sun, interplanetary medium, Mars, and Phobos. Shortly before the final phase of the mission, during which the spacecraft was to approach within 50 m of Phobos' surface and release two landers, one a mobile 'hopper', the other a stationary platform, contact with Phobos 2 was lost. The mission ended when the spacecraft signal failed to be successfully reacquired on 27 March 1989. The cause of the failure was determined to be a malfunction of the on-board computer.

NASA engineers are working on an ultra-compact nuclear power plant for the Moon that should generate enough electricity to run an average American house.

 

CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (Reuters) - NASA is finding it is not just mechanical glitches that make the International Space Station a tough place to operate.

Engineers trouble-shooting a problem with the station's $250 million water recycling system, which processes urine into clean water for drinking, believe the cause is a high concentration of calcium in the astronauts' urine, which clogs the system.

 

Scientists do not yet know if the high calcium concentration is due to bone loss, a consequence of living in a zero-gravity environment, or other factors.

 

"We've learned a lot more about urine than we ever needed or wanted to know -- some of us anyway," said station flight director David Korth.

 

The $100 billion space station project involving 16 nations has been under construction 220 miles above the Earth for more than a decade.

 

Before the urine recycler was started up in November 2008, it was fully tested by NASA.

 

"Folks had good knowledge of the content of the urine going in, but the chemistry changes as it works through the processor are not always understood," said program scientist Julie Robinson. "There are a lot of parameters including urine calcium and pH (acidity) that everyone is looking at."

 

Engineers at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, are hoping to come up with a fix in time to fly replacement parts out on the shuttle Endeavour, which is scheduled for launch on February 7 on a construction mission.
